The FRITZ!DECT 200 is a smart socket for the digital home. It measures power consumption and temperature, and you can also disconnect power consumers from the grid. To use it, you connect the Fritz DECT 200 socket to your FritzBox and can control it via smartphone or tablet. You can also set schedules that enable automatic control. The DECT radio protocol also allows the socket to communicate with the base over a relatively long range inside buildings.

AVM ist ein Unternehmen der Telekommunikation sowie Netzwerktechnik aus Berlin. AVM ist eine Abkürzung und steht für Audiovisuelles Marketing. Großflächige Bekanntheit erreichte das Unternehmen durch die Einführung der Fritz!Box, einem Router für den Heimbereich. Ursprünglich gegründet wurde das Unternehmen von vier Studenten im Jahr 1986. Heute arbeiten bereits 840 Mitarbeiter für das Telekommunikationsunternehmen. Seit einiger Zeit bietet AVM ebenfalls Produkte für den Bereich Smart Home und die intelligente Hausautomation, welche in der Regel über DECT miteinander vernetzt werden. Als Zentrale hierfür dient die Fritz!Box.
