The Aqara Hub networks the components of the Aqara system with your smartphone, tablet or voice control. The hub bundles all sensors and actuators, which you can control in turn. This allows you to exercise control in a single app, without needing a separate app for each device.

Aqara ist eine aus dem Jahr 2016 stammende Marke, die sich primär der Herstellung von Smart Home Produkten widmet. Die Unternehmensphilosophie schreibt vor, dass Lösungen für den Markt Smart Home einfach zu nutzen sind und ein ansprechendes Design besitzen. Das Wort Aqara stammt dabei von den lateinischen Worten "acutulus", was so viel wie smart bedeutet sowie dem Wort "ara", das für Home steht. Die Zusammensetzung beider Worte ergibt den Markennamen Aqara. Seit 2017 betreibt das Unternehmen mehr als 400 Aqara Home Stores weltweit. Bereits im Jahr 2019 betrat das Unternehmen des US-Markt und beliefert heute mehr als 2 Millionen Kunden weltweit. Laut eigenen Angaben möchte Aqara weiterhin weltweit expandieren und so smarte Technologien in jeden Haushalt auf dieser Welt bringen.
